KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Jackie Cataldo-Murray and Sarah Fetters have joined the Western Michigan athletic department as Assistant Athletic Directors, the university announced Monday. Cataldo-Murray will serve as the Assistant Athletic Director, Brand Advancement & Fan Engagement while Fetters will be the Assistant Athletic Director, Communications.

Cataldo-Murray will oversee the day-to-day brand advancement and fan engagement for all 16 Bronco teams, including strategic planning and execution of all marketing initiatives to increase awareness and attendance, engage students, enhance customer experience and solidify the department's brand. Â
She joined the Broncos from Northeastern University, where she held the role of Assistant Director of Marketing & Promotions since August 2016. Prior to Northeastern, Cataldo-Murray served as an Assistant Director of Athletic Ticket Sales & Marketing at American University in 2015 and 2016. She served as a graduate assistant at Northeastern (2013-15) while tacking on 10 months as a sports information specialist for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference in 2013 and 2014.Â
A native of Saugus, Mass., Cataldo-Murray earned her bachelor's degree from Emmanuel College in management with a concentration in sport management in 2013. A two-sport athlete as a Saint, she earned four letters in both softball and soccer. She added her master's in sports leadership in 2015 from Northeastern.

Fetters, who will oversee the communications department and work primarily with the Broncos football and gymnastics programs, came to Western Michigan after serving for five years in the sports information office at Duke University, where she was a Senior Associate Sports Information Director (2018), Assistant Sports Information Director (2014) and Associate Sports Information Director (2015-18). While in Durham, she worked with the Blue Devils' football and men's tennis programs. Her previous experience also includes stints at East Carolina University (2008-12), the University of Texas (2012-13) and Mississippi State University (2013-14).
A 2008 graduate of Wittenberg University, Fetters was a four-year All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection as a member of the Tiger softball team, a two-time all-region honoree and a two-time College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America pick.
"I am extremely excited about the opportunity to join the group at Western Michigan," Fetters said. "As somebody with family ties to the Battle Creek and Albion areas, coming to western Michigan is like returning home. I look forward to helping our teams tell the story of what makes being a Bronco such a special experience."
