Jason Polin to Bring Grit, Determination and a Touch of Scoring to WMU Hockey

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan hockey incoming recruit Jason Polin heads to Kalamazoo and WMU on the back of a career-best season in the United States Hockey League.
 
Polin recently wrapped up his junior hockey career with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, finishing the season second on the team in scoring in the regular season with 50 points on 30 goals and 20 assists, all career highs. The Holt, Mich., native also went on to rack up nine points on five goals and four assists in six USHL playoff games.
 
The 6-foot, 180 pound forward can play either on the on the wing or at center. He played three full seasons in the USHL with the RoughRiders, increasing his point production in each season.
 
Polin is described as a 200-foot player that is responsible defensively and has the ability to produce offensively, enabling him to play in all situations. Polin will bring grit, determination and a competitive attitude to the Broncos.
