KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team is set to host the University at Buffalo Friday, March 29 inside West Hills Athletic Club. Doubles are scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUTÂ
Western Michigan opened Mid-American Conference play last weekend, defeating Ball State for the first time since 2015 with a 4-3 win inside West Hills Athletic Club. WMU followed that up with a 5-2 win at Northern Illinois, marking the second consecutive season in which the Broncos opened conference play 2-0.Â
HOME COOKING
The Broncos are 9-2 on their home court at West Hills Athletic Club, including four-straight victories Feb. 15-24. WMU had four out its first five matches to open the 2019 schedule at home, coming away with a 4-1 start, marking the best start to a dual-match season since the 2016 Broncos also began its spring campaign going 4-1.Â
ABOUT BUFFALO
The Bulls opened conference play last weekend in Buffalo, N.Y., defeating Bowling Green 6-1 prior to a 4-3 loss against Miami. Buffalo went 11-3 during its non-conference slate, winning its last five in a row. Â
SERIES HISTORY
Friday's match will mark the 26th all-time meeting between Western Michigan and Buffalo, with the Broncos owning a 19-6 series advantage. Last season, the Bulls defeated WMU 6-1 on their home court. Â

The Broncos host the University of Akron next Sunday, April 7 in the second of the three-match home stand.Â
