KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team is set for a pair of weekend matches, traveling to Milwaukee, Wis., to face Marquette University of Friday, Feb. 8 prior to hosting the University of Cincinnati at West Hills Athletic Club on Sunday, Feb. 10.Â
Friday's match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. (ET) in Milwaukee at the Helfaer Tennis & Recreation Center. Sunday's match will begin with doubles at 11 a.m. in Kalamazoo.Â
Last Time Out
Western Michigan most recently dropped a 7-0 decision at Big Ten opponent Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. The loss snapped the Broncos' three-match win streak, in which they were off to their best start since the 2016 season with a 4-1 record.Â
About Marquette
The Golden Eagles are off to a 2-2 start in 2019, having dropped two-straight versus Wisconsin and Indiana after starting 2-0 with wins over Northern Illinois and Green Bay. Last season, Marquette turned in a 12-10 overall record while falling in the second round of the Big East Tournament.Â
About Cincinnati
The Bearcats are also 2-2 overall and will face IUPUI on Friday prior to traveling to Kalamazoo on Sunday. Cincinnati most recently defeated MAC opponent Toledo 7-0 last Saturday, Feb. 2 in Toledo, Ohio. A season ago, the Bearcats went 11-10 overall and 2-3 in the American Athletic Conference. Â

- Friday's match marks the 32nd meeting between WMU and Marquette, while Western Michigan owns a 22-9 series lead.Â
