2019 Western Michigan Football Schedule Announced

CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Mid-American Conference announced today the 2019 football schedule. Western Michigan will play five home Saturday games and one home midweek game. It marks the first time since 2016 WMU has five home Saturday contests.
 
The Broncos open the 2019 season at home against Monmouth on Saturday, Aug. 31 and are also at home against Georgia State on Saturday, Sept. 14. WMU's two non-conference road games are at Michigan State on Sept. 7 and at Syracuse on Sept. 21.
 
Western Michigan begins MAC play hosting Central Michigan on Sept. 28. Other home MAC opponents include Miami, Bowling Green and Ball State. The Broncos are on the road at Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and Northern Illinois.

An updated MAC 2019 football schedule will be released in June with kick times and a television schedule for the first three weeks of the regular season and midweek games during November. All other game kick times and television will be announced 12 days prior to the scheduled game.

The regular season will conclude with the 23rd Marathon MAC Football Championship game on Saturday, Dec. 7 (time/television TBA) from Ford Field in Detroit. This will mark the 16th Marathon MAC Football Championship game at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, Super Bowl XL, and the 2009 NCAA Men's Final Four.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL 150th ANNIVERSARY
During the 2019 season, Mid-American Conference members will join NCAA and NAIA institutions in celebrating 150 years of college football. The MAC has created a specific celebration plan in collaboration with all 12 MAC football programs. The MAC's celebration program will also run in addition with the national 150th platform for all FBS programs.
