TEMPE, Ariz.- The Western Michigan softball team dropped an 8-3 decision to Oregon State on Sunday in the Broncos' final game at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. Senior shortstop
Brooke Wyman hit her first home run of the season, a three-run shot in the fourth inning.
Oregon State took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first and Wyman's home run tied the game at 3-3 in the fourth. Oregon State got a three-run home run of its own in the sixth and added two runs in the seventh for the 8-3 final.
Wyman had two of Western Michigan's seven hits in the game.
Sophomore pitcher
Reily Galloway took the loss, throwing six innings.
Western Michigan travels to the Chattanooga Frost Classic in Tennessee next weekend, facing five opponents over three days, Feb. 22-24.
