KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's soccer team lost to Ohio in the quarterfinal round of the 2019 MAC Championship at the WMU Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos, who were the #3 seeded squad in the bracket, conclude their 2019 campaign with an overall record of 8-10-1.

The Bobcats controlled the offensive play in the early stages of the match, recording the first five shots on the day. Junior goalkeeper Maggie Rogers was solid in net for WMU, making four saves in the first half to keep the game scoreless following the first 45 minutes of play.

Sydney Leckie opened the scoring in the second half with an unassisted goal in the 52nd minute, which would hold as the game winner. Alivia Milesky added a second marker eight minutes later for Ohio, after receiving a clean pass from Leckie in the box.
