KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Game times have been announced for 10 of Western Michigan football's 12 games for the upcoming 2018 season.
The Broncos kick off the season hosting Syracuse on Friday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. It will be WMU's first national television appearance of the season with the game being showcased on CBS Sports Network. Western Michigan is back on national TV the following week, with FS1 carrying its game at Michigan on Saturday, Sept. 8 at noon.
The Broncos host Delaware State on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. for Communivercity, also making their ESPN+ debut that night. WMU opens up play in the Mid-American Conference on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Miami at 3:30 p.m. The team begins back-to-back road appearances in MAC play at Bowling Green on Oct. 13 at 3 p.m. and then at Central Michigan for the battle for the Victory Cannon on Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Western Michigan hosts the defending MAC Champion Toledo Rockets for its first midweek MACtion game of the season on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. on ESPN2 or CBS Sports Network. Ohio comes to Waldo Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 1 for a 7 p.m. game on either ESPNU or CBS Sports Network. The Broncos then travel to Ball State for a Tuesday night showdown on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. on ESPN2. Western Michigan wraps up the 2018 regular season hosting Northern Illinois on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. on ESPNU or ESPN+.
Please note that all times and dates are subject to change. Times for games at Georgia State on Sept. 22 and at home against Eastern Michigan on Oct. 6 for Homecoming are still to be determined.
