KALAMAZOO, Mich. – On Monday Western Michigan baseball head coach Billy Gernon announced the signing of RHP Easton Sikorski to a National Letter of Intent.

Sikorski joins Jimmy Allen (Westmont, Ill.), Dane Armbrustmacher (Fowler, Mich.), Bobby Dearing (West Lafayette, Ind.), Gavin Doyle (Plainfield, Ill.), Brady Miller (Plainfield, Ill.), William Morrison (Clinton Township, Mich.), Drew Szczepaniak (Woodhaven, Mich.) and Ryan Vice (New Lenox, Ill.) as part of the 2019 recruiting class.

Four-year letter winner and three-year varsity starter for Head Coach Dave Zelmanski and Pitching Coach (former Bronco LHP) Steve Laudicina…The De La Salle standout has an impressive resume up to this point in his career...First Team All-County, All-District & All-Catholic League Selection in both 2016 & 2017...Pitched in and member of District Championship teams in 2016 & 2017…Pitched in Regional Championship victory in 2016…Winning pitcher in the 2016 State Championship Game…Plays summer baseball for the South Oakland A's Baseball Academy out of Detroit, Mich. and coached by former Bronco Chris Demetral … The athletic pitcher was also a three-year varsity letter winner & two-year starter for De La Salle's basketball team…Sikorski was a member of three District Championship basketball teams and one Regional Championship … Sikorski was a basketball All-Academic Team selection in 2017.

Academically, carries a 3.98 GPA, earning him Dean's List honors and will graduate summa cum laude at the end of the spring… His father, Brian Sikorski, is a former Bronco and earned MAC Pitcher of the Year Honors along with being tied for second all-time in the record books for wins in a single season…Brian was drafted out of Western Michigan in 1995 by the Houston Astros…Made his MLB Debut in 2000 for the Texas Rangers and recently finished his career in 2013 for the Saitama Seibu Lions in Japan...Brian is still involved in professional baseball and works as a scout in the Texas Rangers organization…Sikorski is the son of Brian & Samantha and has two siblings, Avery & Ella.
