KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team wrapped up the first day of the WMU Super Challenge Friday, Nov. 2 at West Hills Athletic Club. 

The Broncos went 9-5, starting the day 6-0 after two rounds of doubles prior to a 3-5 mark in singles competition. 

WMU went undefeated in doubles as the pairs of Jeryn Jack/Femke Tjon-A-Joe, Kristina Tiraspolsky/Katja Fevralev, Elizabeth Trupp/Valerie Riegraf, Taylor Smith/Gabriela Slavova, Jeryn Jack/Femke Tjon-A-Joe, and Kristina Tiraspolsky/Katja Fevralev all notched day one victories. 

Melina Lyubomirova, Katja Fevralev, and Femke Tjon-A-Joe each tallied singles wins. 

Events continue tomorrow morning, Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. from West Hills Athletic Club.
