"Every time you get a win on the road, we are always going to have positives," commented WMU head coach Shane Clipfell. "We went in spurts tonight where we looked pretty good for extended minutes but then sometimes the opposite. We are working on getting the right combinations and rotations for our lineup moving forward."

Jasmyn Walker led all players Wednesday evening with 20 points, two rebounds, two assists and a career-high two blocks. The Valparaiso transfer shot 8-for-12 from the field, good for 66 percent.

"She (Jasmyn Walker) is a talented kid and I love her versatility where she can drive to the hole and hit the three," added Clipfell. "She gives us a nice punch out there."

The rest of the Bronco offense was well balanced as junior Breanna Mobley notched eight points to go along with seven rebounds while junior Deja Wimby scored seven, grabbed six rebounds and dished out the game-high six assists. Senior LaTondra Brooks stole a career-high seven steals on the night while scoring a season-high five points.

"Brooks has come a long way and seven steals is good to see," commented Clipfell. "She gives us a nice dynamic out there and her early three got us going right away."

Western Michigan's offense took control early in the first as the Broncos used a 14-3 run to take a nine-point lead into the second. Jasmyn Walker started the game shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from long range, scoring nine points in just one quarter. Freshman Leighah-Amori Wool led WMU in the second, tallying five-straight points and boosting the Broncos to a 48-35 lead at the half.

The Ramblers came out of the locker room playing tough defense, forcing the Broncos to score just 11 points in the third but WMU stayed strong and sealed the win. Wimby's six of her seven points came in the final quarter.

As a team, the Broncos notched a season-high 18 assists, 15 steals and six blocks. Western Michigan won the battle on the glass (43-40) for the first time this season and shot 38.9 percent from the field, highlighted by hitting five of its first six shots.

Western Michigan takes its two-game road winning streak into Big Ten competitor Iowa on Sunday, Nov. 19. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. (ET) in Iowa City, Iowa. WMU concludes its seven-game road trip at the Florida Gulf Coast trip which runs from Nov. 24-26 in Naples, Fla.
