Women's Soccer Falls at Eastern Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss at Eastern Michigan on Thursday afternoon in Mid-American Conference action.

The Broncos (8-7-1, 3-5-1 MAC) outshot the Eagles 29-11 overall and 10-6 on goal but were unable to get anything past EMU goalkeeper Kaylin Williams, who made 10 saves to earn the shutout. Junior midfielder Alyssa Burke had six total shots, while Collen McKay and Kendall Juhnke each had a game-high three shots on goal.

Eastern Michigan took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Madeline Olson in the 23rd minute. Kristin Nason found Olson and she slotted it into the net for her third goal of the season. Nason herself made it 2-0 in the 39th minute after her shot took a deflection and found the net.

Peyton Davis added the third goal for the Eagles in the 83rd minute, finishing off a cross from Marla Cobetto.

Western Michigan heads to Central Michigan on Sunday to take on the Chippewas at 1 p.m.
