Corey Davis Named to Maxwell Award Watch List

KALAMAZOO – Western Michigan senior wide receiver Corey Davis has been named to the Maxwell Award watch list given to America's College Player of the Year since 1937. Davis enters the season as the leading active wide receiver in the country with 3,785 career yards.

In addition to being the leading active receiver in the country, Davis is currently 26th in FBS history and fourth in MAC history, just 400 yards away from the all-time record in MAC receiving yards, held by Jordan White who finished his Bronco career with a league-best 4,187 yards.

Last season, Corey finished fifth in the country and was second in the MAC with 1,436 yards and was 11th in the country with 12 TDs. He ended the season with seven straight 100-yard games, including eight catches for 183 yards and an 80-yard touchdown in the Broncos' first bowl win in program history over Middle Tennessee State.

Recently he was named the top senior wide receiver in the country according to ESPN's Mel Kiper and CBS Sports.
