BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- Western Michigan senior right fielder
Jared Kujawa broke a 25-year old school record Friday at Bowling Green, becoming the program's all-time leader for triples with the 16th of his career. The previous record of 15 was set by Ken Scarpace in 1980.

Hunter Prince.
Western Michigan's defense had a tough time in the game, committing a season-high six errors that led to the first six runs scored by Bowling Green as going down unearned. WMU trailed 9-0 after five innings of play. BGSU's bats were also hard to contain, as the Falcons pounded out 16 hits. Six different players had multi-hit games.

Derek Schneider (2-3) took the loss, going 4.1 innings and being charged with nine runs, only three however that were earned. Senior
Will Nimke allowed three runs over 1.2 innings and freshmen
Jake Bartels and
Tanner Allison each threw a scoreless inning of relief.
RHP Jason Link (2-3) tossed a career-high six innings to earn the win for Bowling Green. He struck out three batters while scattering six hits. Link was relieved by Tony Landi, who pitched the final three innings to earn the save.
WMU had seven hits in the game. Junior
Mitchell Ho went 3-for-4 and Kujawa was 2-for-4. The Broncos left eight runners on base.
Western Michigan's record slipped to 13-20 overall and 5-8 in the Mid-American Conference with the loss. BGSU increased its record to 13-19 and 6-7 in the MAC.
Due to weather expected to be in the area the two teams will finish the series with a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at noon and forgo a Sunday contest.
