Team Notes
· Western Michigan set the program record for total yards with 711. The total is the most in the conference this season and good for seventh place all-time in a single game in MAC history.
· WMU opened MAC play with a 5-0 record for the first time since opening the 2000 conference season 6-0.
· The Broncos outgained the Cardinals 412-57 in yards in the first half.
· WMU scored a touchdown just 57 seconds into the game. It is the seventh drive this season that has taken less than a minute.
· The Broncos scored 35 or more points for the fifth straight game for the first time in school history.
· Western Michigan scored 50+ points in back-to-back games for the first time since the 1943 season when the team scored 54 against Alma and 60 vs. Xavier.
· The Broncos had eight pass breakups. That is the most in a single game this season.
· Western Michigan held Ball State to just 152 yards. It is the first time since 2011 the Broncos have held an opponent to under 200 yards. It was the fewest allowed overall since giving up just 146 to Temple on Nov. 24, 2007.
Player Notes
· Corey Davis moved into third all-time at Western Michigan with two touchdowns giving him 28 for his career.
· Davis now is fourth at Western Michigan with 3,181 career yards.
· Among active FBS receivers, his 28 touchdowns puts him third in the entire country and is second in yards.
· Davis is in 16th in MAC history in yards and 10th in TDs.
· Zach Terrell had 289 passing yards and three touchdowns in the first half. He finished the game with 324 yards and 3 TDs.
· Terrell now has 23 passing TDs this season
· Jamauri Bogan had his eighth rushing touchdown in his last four games.
· Daniel Braverman finished with 5 catches for 72 yards. He now has 999 yards for the season,
· Andrew Haldeman made his third 40+ yard field goal in his last two games. It is the second time in his career he has had three made 40+ yard field goals in a season with the last coming in 2013 when he was 3-for-4.
· Ian Thomas recorded his first career interception.
