Team Notes
· Western Michigan has now had an interception in each of its last three games.
· Saturday marked the first time since 2012 the Broncos scored 41 or more points against Central Michigan. It is also the first time in the series the home team has won since 2011.
· Western Michigan has now won four of the last five meetings in the Battle for the Cannon. That is the best record for the Broncos over a five game stretch in the series since winning five straight in 1965, '66, '69, '70 and '73.
· The 80 combined points set a series record. The previous record was 79 scored in 1995 (48-31 Western Michigan win).
· Western Michigan didn't allow a sack for the first time since at Miami (OH) on Nov. 1, last season
Player Notes
· Cleveland Smith recorded his first sack of the season.
· Daniel Braverman has scored a touchdown in each of his last four games.
· Braverman set a career-high with three touchdown catches. It was the second time this season and fifth time in his career he has had multiple TD catches.
· Braverman's 137 yards receiving marked his fifth straight 100-yard game this season.
· Braverman's three TD catches marked the first time a Bronco has achieved that feat since Jordan White at Toledo in 2011.
· Braverman had a 30-yard punt return in the second quarter, the longest of his career.
· Asantay Brown with his first career interception. He also recorded his first career forced fumble earlier in the same drive.
· Brown then became the first player this season with a forced fumble, interception and fumble recovery all in the same game.
· He finished the game with a career-high 13 tackles.
· His interception made him the first player besides Darius Phillips to record an interception this season.
· Jarvion Franklin's rushing touchdown in the second quarter was his second of the season and 26th of his career.
· He finished the game with 131 yards, marking the 10th 100-yard rushing game of his career and second this season.
· Corey Davis' TD catch in the second quarter gave him 25 for his career, tying him for fourth all-time in school history with Corey Alston.
· Levante Bellamy had a career-long 58 yard reception in the second quarter.
· Zach Terrell tied his career-high with four touchdown passes. He now has 48 for his career, good for fifth all-time at Western Michigan.
· Terrell also had a season-best in rushing yards with 43 on five carries.
