Western Michigan Player Postgame Quotes

Zach Terrell, sophomore, quarterback

On any positives to take away from how the offense performed, despite the loss…

“I think there was a lot of things we did well as an offensive unit. We came out and went with the game plan. We weren't really sure what to expect with Purdue's defense, but we came out and adjusted and figured it out. We moved the ball at times, but there's always room for improvement. Obviously, we didn't score enough points to win and that's something we need to do better.”

Jarvion Franklin, freshman, running back

On shining in his first ever college football game…

“First, I want to thank God for everything.  To be honest I was very nervous, actually. I just want to thank the offensive line for opening the holes for me. I told them Purdue cannot handle them, so I was just able to bust through and just do what I do best, but I thank the O-Line for that.”

On his style of play and how he wants to be known as a running back…

“I just want to be known as a running back who is going to move the chains and get first downs. And, once again, as long as the O-Line is able to have my back, I will be able to get the job done for them.”

On his second run of the day going for a touchdown…

“I wasn't sure how far that was, but there was a large hole in there. I don't know if you guys saw it, I just had to cut back and use my speed.”
