WMU SOFTBALL NEWS & NOTES
• In Western Michigan's last outing, the Broncos went 1-3 at the Fighting Illini Invitational with a 3-2 win over North Dakota State
• WMU's win over NDSU snapped a 10-game skid with the last win coming over Quinnipiac (13-1) on March 1
• Western Michigan has had two games postponed or canceled over the last two weeks due to unseasonably cold weather throughout the area — Valparaiso (3/18) and Michigan State (3/25)
• The game against Valparaiso has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 3 p.m. CT
• Western Michigan is 5-1 in Mid-American Conference opening games the past six seasons
• WMU has four players hitting over .300 heading into the start of the MAC schedule — Alyssa Prokos (.400), Kelsea Cichocki (.371), Melissa Palmer (.365), Jenny Rohn (.345)
