Commenting on winning the Michigan MAC Trophy for the first time since its inaugural season in 2005.

“We wanted to go out and bring trophies back for all of our past, present, and future Broncos. That is why we built that trophy room. We want to keep both of these trophies in there. We want to give our players something to always play for. When you come to Western Michigan you can play for five trophies. This is a big time institution with incredible players and incredible people and I want people to keep supporting us.”

Commenting on the game.

“Our players showed a lot of class today. I learned a lot time ago to be classy, be you, but be classy. Our players are always going to respect the game and respect the opponent. After we got behind early we just kept rowing. Our players never get cocky or arrogant regardless of the situation. We understand any play could affect the outcome of the game. It was a solid team effort.”
