This series will give fans insight into the vision head coach P.J. Fleck has for the football program highlighting how each aspect began, what they mean to him, to the team and to the community.
Since Coach Fleck was introduced as the 15th coach of WMU Football, fans have heard "Row the Boat." It is the driving force behind Coach Fleck's vision for this program and how we will get from point A (where we are now) to point B (our goal).
You know from listening to Coach Fleck that RTB not only means Row the Boat but also RESPONSIBILITY, TRUST and BELIEF.
We have heard that WMU will have a NEKTON mentality on the field, work at a PREFONTAINE pace and with a FARMER'S ALLIANCE. If you speak to Coach Fleck, or hear him speak, you know that nothing but ELITE is acceptable for this program.
We want our fans to hear from Coach Fleck directly why each and every philosophy that is currently being instilled into our football student-athletes is so important. For that reason, we sat down with Coach Fleck and discussed the origins of his beliefs to leading a program. We discussed how these words and actions will not only shape what you see on the football field but how our fans, members of this community, can rally around each aspect.
