WMU SOFTBALL NEWS & NOTES
• Western Michigan faced its fourth nationally ranked team of the season when the Broncos took on No.12 Michigan on April 9
• Despite falling, 8-0, in five innings, WMU battled after a rough first inning, not allowing another run and only gave up four hits after a seven hit opening frame
• The Broncos finally played a home game, hosting Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan in a pair of doubleheaders this past weekend
• WMU earned its first MAC season series sweep, taking two from EMU to event its record in the standings
• Loren Nagy hit the team's first grand slam of the season and all of WMU's four runs in an 8-4 loss to CMU came via a home run
• Nagy led the team with nine RBIs in MAC play this weekend as no one else on the team had more than one
• She is now tied for the team lead in home runs (4) and ranks second on the team with 21 RBIs
• The Broncos play their final two road series this weekend at Buffalo and Kent State before closing the 2013 regular season on a 10-game homestand
