On the last minute basket to win the game ...

"The play was for me to get the ball and drive to the basket.  We just had to get to the basket and try to draw the foul or make it; either way someone was going to score. "

On the difference of momentum in the last few minutes of the first half ...

"I wouldn't say we were tired, but we were doing so much in the beginning that we really were not focusing on what we needed to do at the end of the half."

On the recent performance of the team ...

"Everyone wants to turn this corner for the team, and we know that it is going to take every kind of energy we have.  Every loose ball has to be ours.  That is an extra two points.  You have to take advantage of everything you can get."

On the team work with Miracle Woods ...

"Coach is always saying you are post players and that you are buddies out there.  You have to work for each other, get each other open.  She soaks up any constructive criticism that anyone gives, so that really helps.  When we are out there working, we are constantly communicating with each other, whether it is offensive or defense."

On the defensive effort in the game ...

"Sometimes when we are having trouble scoring, coach says to focus on one thing that you can control and that is defense. In the beginning of this game, they go a lot of little tips away from us, and turned them into lay-ups, and we made up our mind that we were not going to let it happen again, and started doing it to them."

On Bowling Green's low shooting percentage ...

"They were getting frustrated.  They missed at least three lay-ups that we scored on and you could sense their frustration, which made us want to play harder."

Comments on the close finish ...

"The first thing that was running through my head was what a shame it would be to loose the game in that situation.  It had happen to us so many times through out the season and we just could not fix it.  I just have to give Bowling Green credit in that situation.  I could see the team as we came into the timeout after they hit the triple with 44 seconds to go, and I told them it was ok, and that we were going to win it on the last possession."

On the play design at the end of the game ...

"The first option was Corie Buchanan setting a cross screen for Marquisha Harris and option two was for Corie to come to the free throw area and make a play."

On the recent success playing teams with better records ...

"I don't think our team plays to our competition.  It is all a game of match-ups and mentality."

On the defensive effort ...

"It was a lot of grittiness, it was a lot of fighting through ball screens, and a lot of switching ball screens.  We are not typically a team that deals with switching screens very well, but we felt we had to in this game, and it turned out well with Bowling Green throwing up 70 field goals."

On holding Bowling Green to under 20 percent shooting in the first half ...

"You have to give our defense all the credit, we played well.  I feel that this could be a telling point for us.  This team is not just understanding the roles we are putting them into, but accepting them.  You can't do one or the other and be successful.  We are not there yet, but we are getting closer, and if we can continue on this path I like our team's chances."
