WMU-Ball State Post Game Quotes
Sophomore Forward Michelle O'Brien
Thoughts on offensive struggles:
"I think part of our struggle
tonight was we were kind of stagnant, we didn't move as much without the
ball. Every time we tried to make
a pass they'd pick it off or be right there to catch it. We really needed to cut to the middle
or slip or do something different but it wasn't in our favor tonight."
Starting the game in a deficit:
"I don't know what it is but we
need to come to every game like its going to be our last and just play as hard
as we can. We always have to try and keep
our composure. Team's go on runs
and we need to make our runs. We
need to stop their runs on defense first and start our offense from our
defense."
Head Coach Shane Clipfell
Thoughts on tonight's game:
"Well that is not what I
anticipated that's for sure. I
thought we were in the frame of mind that we were going to play well. We did anything but that. I'm really becoming frustrated and kind
of at a loss for words about our consistent poor start.
"Three points in nine minutes is
unbelievably poor. We can't keep
putting our defense in such a disadvantage with our offense.
"I think you can tell by the
minutes and number of people going in and out that we were searching for
somebody who could simply make a basket. They're frustrated, I'm frustrated, and we have to find a combination
that can score."
