"Our freshmen have always been good.  They have always been able to contribute to our team.  I don't believe they are freshmen, they have just been one of us since they got here."

"I just want to contribute to the team in every way that I can. I just want to do my role on the team supporting others on the floor and on the bench.  When I am on the bench I stay positive and encouraging, and when I am on the court, I try to keep things running smoothly and finish my shots. "

On improving on the floor vs. in practice ...

"Everyone's goal is to keep improving in practice.  I try to get in the gym as much as I can on my own time.  In practice, I try to do my best to make the team look better as whole."

On the learning experience from close games compared to others ...

"You can definitely learn from both, just in different ways.  Today, especially, we learned that you have to come out in the second half with the same intensity as come out with in the first half.  We did not give up, we kept fighting.  We just have to continue working hard and keeping our heads up."

"You have to tip your hat to Miami.  They are a very good team; it was a team that was picked to win the East Conference Title over Bowling Green.  They played well.  They are a solid team with a lot of balance.  They have veterans, they have inside, they have outside, and they rebound the ball well.  They are just a good team."

On the defense ...

"Our defense is getting a lot of bad raps because of our offense.  If we cannot score, we cannot put pressure on other teams to have to make baskets.  When we cannot score and teams can play poorly and still build a ten-point lead, you are just going to open the floodgates for them.  I am blaming a lot of our defense on our offense.  I think it has been that way since the beginning."

On the largest home crowd of the year and their impact ...

"We played good in the first half partially due to that.  Our team fought hard, and paid attention to their game plane as well as challenging their shooters for the most part.  We are challenging shots and people are making shots on us and we are missing open shots, and that is a bad combination."

On the freshman effort ...

"Alex (Morton) played one of her better games.  Miracle (Woods) responded and had a solid effort.  I am convinced that we have to continue to go deep into the bench.  I tried last game to play fewer people and that did not matter.  We have to be able to score, bottom line."
