WMU vs. Toledo Post-Game Notes

Pre-Game:

-WMU trails the all-time series 28-39 to Toledo

-Jaime Wilson leads the nation in total receptions (37) and ranks second in total receiving yards (430).

-This is the first time WMU is wearing the alternate uniforms

-WMU and Toledo combined for 129 points in 2011, one of four team, individual and single-game MAC records broken.

-WMU lost to Toledo 66-63 last year.

-Bill Cubit is looking for his 50th win as head coach for the Broncos.

-WMU under Coach Cubit is 4-3 against Toledo

-WMU beat Toledo 58-26 on October, 10 2009,which was the last time WMU beat Toledo.

-WMU is averaging 28 points per game, Toledo is giving up 24.5 points per game.

-Tyler VanTubbergen for the second week in a row is team captain for coin-toss.

First Quarter:

-VanTubbergen completes first pass of game for four yards

-Toledo running back David Fluellen has a career high 110 rushing yards.

-Antoin Scriven 10-yard run matches career-high.

-Tyler VanTubbergen throws first touchdown pass of the season.

-22-yard touchdown completion ties VanTubbergen's career-high.

-Toledo leads 20-7.

-WMU is 0-2 when trailing after first half

-Most points scored by Toledo in the first half this season.

Third Quarter:

-WMU gets safety on 63-yard punt, Donald Celiscar makes tackle in end zone.

-Last safety for WMU was on November 25, 2011 against Akron.

-Second game this year WMU has given up an interception for a touchdown (Illinois).

-Toledo running back David Fluellen rushed for his third touchdown, a career-high.

-Justin Currie has a career high 10 tackles.

-Donald Celiscar has a season high nine tackles.

-Tubbergen has a career-high 36 completions and ties a career-high for 19 completions

-Brian Fields scores first touchdown of the year and longest run for him this season.

-48-yard run was the longest run of the season for WMU.

-48-yard touchdown run was longest touchdown run since a 57-yard touchdown by Tevin Drake against Akron on October, 23 2010.

Fourth Quarter:

-Donald Celiscar has a career high 11 tackles.

-Daniel Braverman has four kick returns for 102 yards.

-Jaime Wilson has now went over 100 yards receiving for the fourth time this season.

-Toledo's David Fluellen has went over the 200-yard rushing mark.

-Toledo wins 37-17

-Dareyon Chance had 17 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown.

Post-Game Notes:

 -WMU ends it's nine game home winning streak.

-WMU trails 28-40 in the all-time series against Toledo.

-Eight career-highs were set throughout the game.

-J.Schroeder had four punts with an average of 51 yards per punt, which is third in single-game punt average in WMU history.

-This years game had 926 total offensive yards (Toledo-521, WMU-405)

-Jaime Wilson leads the team in receptions and yards for the third time this season.

-WMU's first MAC opening game loss since 2010 when WMU lost to Toledo, 24-37.

-WMU will face UMass next week for the 89th annual homecoming game.
