WMU at Toledo Post-Game Notes

PRE-GAME

• Western Michigan trails the all-time series against Toledo, 28-37-0, and trails on the road against the Rockets, 11-19-0
• After not earning a win at the Glass Bowl between 1988-2007, the Broncos have captured back-to-back wins on the road against Toledo and have won four of the last five games against the Rockets
• Jordan White's nine catches against Ball State gives hime 261 for his career, which is the new career record at WMU
• White was named MAC West Offensive POTW for the fourth time this season after 172 yds and 2 TDs against Ball State
• Named FRS Wide Receiver National Performance of the Week based on winning 84 percent (now eligible for Performance of the Year)
• White is 160 yards from breaking the career receiving yards record currently held by Steve Neal (3,599)
• John Potter made six PATs against Ball State, giving him 160 for his career and a new WMU record - he is two made PATs from overtaking NIU's Chris Nendick for third in MAC history
• Potter has 298 career points, needing 10 more points to break the WMU scoring record; currently ranks ninth in MAC history for points by a kicker, tied with Toledo's Rusty Hanna (1989-92); currently ranks 14th in MAC history in career scoring
• Alex Carder threw for 400 yards in a game for the third time in his career and is one behind Tim Lester for the most 400-yard efforts in a career - WMU holds a 5-4 record when one of its QBs throws for 400 yards in a game
• WMU and Ball State combined for 1,165 yards last week, breaking the WMU record by five combined yards, and ranking fifth in MAC history
• Bill Cubit's next win will tie him with his predecessor Gary Darnell at 46 wins as WMU's head coach, tying him for sixth on the all-time list
• Western Michigan has had three defenders register 10 or more tackles in each of the last three games
• WMU has multiple games with three receivers over 100 yards for the first time in program history (Connecticut, Ball State)

FIRST QUARTER

• WMU scores on first two possessions of the game
