KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Sophomore Jenn Tschetter earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Tschetter had a career year during her second season in the Brown & Gold and boasts a 3.81 GPA with a psychology major.
The Scottsdale, Ariz., native set new career highs in at bats (90), runs (6), hits (17) and doubles (7) during the 2010 campaign. She had a career-high three hits at Northern Illinois (4/24) and three multi-RBI games during the season. Tschetter cleanly fielded 53 of 55 defensive chances with 51 put outs
Academically, she is one of only 29 WMU student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or better and one of only 29 student-athletes to have a 4.0 GPA during the spring semester. Tschetter is the 23rd Academic All-MAC selection, and 17th individual, in WMU softball history and gives the Broncos two honorees in as many seasons as Tschetter's teammate Lexi Jager earned the nod in 2009.
