WMU Coach Bill Cubit:

“I thought we played well offensively and defensively. I thought we played better in the second half. We have to improve our tackling and on third downs but you feel good about that because hopefully you can change that.”

“We like to hold a lot of things back and save them for the second half. The things of the things we were successful with in the second half were looks we did not show them in the first half.”

“In the first half we really didn't have the ball. We only had it for ten minutes. In the second we played better and were able to do more things because we had the ball.” “We only had 56 plays and you got to have more. We were successful when we had the ball but we have to cut out the third down stuff. Credit to them for taking it but we need to be able to stop that.”

“Field position was key in this game. It was the best I have since us play on kickoffs in years. We made them have to go 80 and 85 yards and if you can do that you will have a better chance of stopping them. Fortunately for us we got them pinned deep a lot.”
