KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Tasha McDowell was introduced as the fifth head women's basketball coach in Western Michigan history on April 19, 2008. Coach McDowell had a busy day, attending a press conference, as well as the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Kalamazoo Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization.

Getting involved in the community from day one, or even better put, hour one, coach McDowell was on hand at the Rally for Kids held in WMU's Read Fieldhouse on April 19. McDowell and current Bronco athletes met with area youth, fans and Bronco supporters, enjoying activities and several guest speakers.
