(On Western Michigan) “I know Bill Cubit, I'm really excited about the team he has. I think they played hard and I think he should be proud. That's a good team right there. I hope they have a shot at winning the (MAC) title. This is not an easy place to play as many other teams have found out.”

(On Temple) “I thought our coaches gave the kids a really good plan today. I thought we were ready to play. We controlled the field position I believe in the first quarter and even when they took over field position we had plenty of chances to score and we didn't score. I thought our kids battled early on, (but) Western wore us down a little bit.”

(On the game) “I thought we started off and felt Temple did an outstanding job. Really happy defensively we came up with a bunch of turnovers, our kicking game was probably not as good as it has been which was a little bit of concern. We had to fight for that one. Early that was a tough deal, so our kids came back and they did a great job.”

(On Temple) “I give Temple a lot of credit, they are well-coached. They've got good players and they are going to get it turned around pretty quickly.”

(On Ryan Cubit's return) “I think it was big for everybody. We ask a lot of that quarterback and you can just see how we didn't take negative yardage plays and we didn't take sacks because (Ryan) knows what to do when he sees certain looks. He got us out of a lot of plays and the offense was just running a lot more comfortably because he's got experience.”
