WMU v. UB Notes

WMU Notes:

-- Western's three-game winning streak is its longest since the 2001 season.

-- Western is now 3-0 all-time against Buffalo.

-- Three different Broncos, senior quarterback Robbie Haas, senior wide receiver Greg Jennings and freshman quarterback Tim Hiller, threw their first collegiate touchdown pass.

-- Before allowing three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, Western Michigan had not allowed a touchdown since the first quarter at Temple, a span of six quarters.

-- Greg Jennings two touchdown grabs increased his school record to 30 career touchdown receptions.

-- Freshman Tim Hiller's touchdown toss came in his first collegiate game and on only his second pass.

-- Joe Chapple's second quarter touchdown reception was the first of his career.

-- Mark Bonds 44-yard run in the fourth quarter was a career high.

-- Tony Scheffler's 36-yard reception in the first quarter was a season-long.

-- Greg Jennings increased his streak of games with at least one reception to 28-straight.

Buffalo Notes:

-- Buffalo scored its first touchdown of the season at the 14:47 mark of the fourth quarter on a

25-yard touchdown pass from Drew Willy to Chad Upshaw. That was also the first touchdown

pass of Willy's career.

-- Buffalo's touchdown snapped a streak of four games dating back to last season without a TD.

-- Buffalo's 21 points are the most since a 36-6 victory over Central Michigan last season.

-- In his first career start Willy became the first UB quarterback since Randall Secky in 2002 to complete more than 25 passes in a game (30-38 for 288 yards and 2 TD).

-- Brett Hamlin and Derrick Dyer each set a career-high in receiving for the second consecutive game with 68 and 59 yards, respectively.
