Ashley Vogl

Former Western Michigan standout Ashley Vogl is in her second season as director of volleyball operations. During her first season, the Broncos won their third consecutive Mid-American Conference West Division championship and won 24 matches.

Vogl will have a hand in every area of the program, including coordination of the team's community outreach and social networking, acting as a liasion to the Spiker's Club and alumni, while also helping to coordinate marketing activities with WMU's Marketing Office. She will also assist the coaching staff with various administrative activities, travel arrangements, recruiting and organizing WMU Volleyball Summer Camps.

Vogl was a three-year letterwinner and two-time Second Team All-MAC middle blocker for the Broncos in 2006 and 2007. She finished her career with 972 kills on a .269 attack percentage, 217 block assists and 261 total blocks, which all rank among the top 20 in WMU history.

A two-time Academic All-MAC honoree, Vogl graduated with a 3.64 GPA and bachelor's in secondary education in April after conducting her student teaching at Plainwell Middle School in sixth and seventh grade English Language Arts (ELA) during the spring semester. She is currently pursuing her master's from WMU in communication.
