Serenity Collins has served as the Assistant Coach for the Western Michigan University Cheerleading Program since September 2023. Since stepping into the role, she has been instrumental in the continued development and growth of the program and has been part of several historic milestones achieved by the team during her tenure.
Prior to joining the coaching staff, Collins was a member of the WMU Cheer Team from 2021 to 2023, where she contributed as a student-athlete and developed a strong connection to the program’s culture and mission.
In addition to her experience at WMU, Collins has served on staff with Champion Cheerleading, further expanding her coaching and athlete development experience. She also worked as the Graduate Assistant for Broncos Empowered, where she supported the holistic development and well-being of student-athletes across campus.
Outside of cheerleading, Collins holds a position at Western Michigan University as the Program Manager for Fall Welcome, where she plays a key role in creating engaging experiences and supporting student transition and involvement on campus.
Collins brings a strong passion for mentorship, athlete growth, and team culture to the WMU Cheerleading Program, helping continue the program’s momentum both on and off the sidelines.
