Charles Huff

Charles Huff was officially announced as the running backs for WMU football on Jan. 11, 2013. Huff comes to the Broncos after spending the 2012 season as the assistant running backs coach with the Buffalo Bills.

Prior to coaching in the NFL, Huff was the assistant special teams coordinator and assistant running backs coach at Vanderbilt, helping the Commodores to their first winning season in six years in 2011 and a spot in the Liberty Bowl. He helped Vandy land its first ever Top 25 recruiting class.

The Denton, Md., native returned to his alma mater in 2010 to coach an offensive line that led the way for 1,602 rushing yards that season. He also coached the offensive tackles at Maryland during the 2009 season. Huff began his coaching career at Tennessee State, serving as the offensive line coach in 2007 and adding tight ends, special teams and operations duties during the 2007-08 seasons. TSU ranked third in total offense and kickoff coverage in 2007-08 and second in punt return average (12.8).

Huff (30/DOB: 4-26-1983) showed his versatility during his playing career at Hamption, playing center, guard, fullback and tight end. He was a captain on the 2005 Hampton team that went undefeated and he won three conference championships during his career.
