Cam Clark joined the Western Michigan men's basketball program as an assistant coach in April of 2026. The 2026-27 season is set to be his first with the Broncos.

Clark arrived with new WMU head coach Kahil Fennell after serving one year as an assistant coach under him at UTRGV. During their year together in Texas, they helped the Vaqueros to a 19-win campaign and a berth in the Southland Conference Tournament semifinals, where they lost to eventual champion McNeese in triple overtime.

Before linking up with Fennell at UTRGV, Clark spent one season as an assistant coach at Houston Christian, where he helped the program double its win total over the prior campaign. That season also saw the Huskies record their most conference victories in nearly a decade and reach the Southland Conference Tournament for the first time in five seasons.

Prior to his time at HCU, Clark served as an assistant coach for one season at Idaho State, where he oversaw player development and guided a pair of Bengals to All-Conference honors. During his tenure, the program reached the conference tournament semifinals for the first time in 35 years and racked up its most wins since 2017-18.

Clark spent the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach at Salt Lake Community College, helping the program reach the top spot in the national rankings, win conference tournament and west district championships and make an appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament. While with the Bruins, he helped 11 players go on to sign with NCAA DI programs.

He also spent one year each at Chadron State (2021-22) and Lamar Community College (2020-21) after beginning his coaching career at his alma mater, Southwestern College (2019-20), where he aided in the development of NAIA Player of the Year Cameron Hunt.

As a player, Clark was a four-time NAIA All-American at Southwestern, finishing his career as the school's leading scorer (2,450 points) and rebounder (1,131). He is the only player in program history to surpass 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Following his collegiate career, he went on to play professionally overseas in Europe, Africa, Finland, Ireland, the Republic of Georgia, Luxembourg and Morocco.

Clark is a two-time graduate from Southwestern, owning a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and a master's in School Leadership.Â
