Bobby Horodyski joined the Western Michigan men's basketball program as an assistant coach in April of 2026. The 2026-27 season is set to be his first with the Broncos.
Horodyski arrived in Kalamazoo after spending three seasons at Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. The Royals won 55 games during his tenure, and in 2025-26, the program won its first-ever Atlantic Sun Tournament title and made its first appearance in the NCAA Division I Tournament in its first year of eligibility.
Prior to his time in Charlotte, Horodyski spent four seasons as the director of operations at BYU, crossing over for one season with current WMU head coach Kahil Fennell. While with the Cougars, Horodyski helped the program land four-star recruit Collin Chandler, who was ESPN's No. 26-ranked recruit in the class of 2022. BYU made a pair of NCAA Tournaments and an NIT during his tenure and was ranked #18 in the final AP poll when the NCAA Tournament was canceled at the end of the 2019-20 season due to COVID-19.
Prior to BYU, Horodyski served for four seasons in an operations role at Utah Valley, which included a DI-era, program-record 25 wins in 2018-19 behind WAC Player of the Year Jake Toolson and WAC Freshman of the Year Wyatt Lowell.
Horodyski began his collegiate coaching journey as the head manager at his alma mater, Central Florida. His work with the Knights opened the door for him to become a graduate assistant at Wyoming.
After beginning his collegiate playing career at Marshall, he spent his final two seasons at UCF. During his time with the Knights, he helped the team amass 42 wins, make an appearance in the 2012 NIT and served for one season as a co-captain.
