Igor Misljenovic

Igor Misljenovic was hired to the position of assistant track and field coach prior to the start of the 2015 season.

Misljenovic joins the staff after spending the last two years at Central Methodist University as a graduate assistant throws coach. There he helped his student-athletes break six school records, reach NAIA National Championship qualifying marks eight times, produced four HAAC individual champions and 23 HAAC All-Conference honors.

Prior to that he was a thrower at Virginia Virginia Tech where he competed at a national level. He was the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference champion in the discus throw and was All-ACC during both indoor and outdoor seasons. He wont the team MVP his senior year and finished 14th at the outdoor NCAA Championship in the discus and ninth in the shot put at the 2010 Indoor NCAA Championships.

He holds a bachelors in human nutrition, foods and exercise from Virginia Tech and a masters degree in education and athletic administration from Central Methodist University.
