Tasuku Kurane has been with the athletic training staff at WMU since summer of 2015.
He is responsible for the care of the Women’s Gymnastics and Men’s Tennis.
Prior to joining the Broncos, Kurane worked as an athletic trainer assistant for a year at Coastal Carolina University with the Football team and the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field programs. Tasuku also worked with the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, as an athletic training student intern in the summer of 2013.
Kurane attended Waseda University, in Tokyo Japan, where he received a bachelor's degree in sports science in 2009. He would go on to receive his Master of Arts degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2014.
A native of Tokyo, Japan, he and his wife, Natsumi, reside in Portage, MI, with their daughter, Kyli.
