Western Michigan men's tennis head coach Dave Morin has announced the hiring of David Anderton to the position of associate head coach in Aug. of 2025.
Anderton has a long career in coaching both men's and women's tennis. Most recently he was an assistant coach for the University of Miami's women's tennis team. It was Anderton's second stint with the Hurricanes, working as an assistant from 2003-07 and helping the team to finish in the Top 25 every season. Megan Bradley (2005) and Audra Cohen (2006, 2007) won ACC Player of the Year during his tenure.
Anderton has also spent time as an assistant with Alabama's women's team and was an assistant for both the WMU Men's and women's programs from 1998-99, helping both programs to a MAC Championship in 1999.
Anderton played men's tennis at Bowling Green under Morin, earning a degree in psychology in 1998.
