Ashley Counterman took over as the head coach of the WMU Dance Team in August of 2012. She returns to her alma mater, having graduated from WMU in 2010, after spending her time at WMU from 2006-10 as a member and captain of the squad. Counterman was also a part of the 2007 national championship team. She was very excited and honored to have brought the Bronco Dance Team back to the NDA championship in 2016.  This year at the 2019 NDA championship, the Broncos placed 8th in the Jazz Division 1A competition.

Currently Counterman is teaching high school Spanish at Mattawan High School.
