When is the Outdoor Hockey Game?
Western Michigan Hockey will face Michigan at Waldo Stadium on January 30, 2027. Additional details, including game time and special event information, will be announced at a later date.
 
What time will the Outdoor Hockey Game be played?
The game time for the WMU vs. Michigan outdoor game will be announced at a later date.

Why is there a priority access process?
Due to the anticipated demand for this historic event, Western Michigan Athletics is providing priority access to Bronco Athletic Fund members and loyal supporters before any potential public sale.
 
How do I qualify for a priority access window?
Priority access is based on your Bronco Athletic Fund giving level as of June 9, 2026. Additional access opportunities will be available for football, hockey, and basketball season ticket holders, season ticket deposit holders, WMU alumni, former WMU student-athletes, and WMU faculty, and staff.
 
How will I know when I can purchase tickets?
Eligible fans will receive an email prior to their designated access window with instructions on how and when to purchase tickets.

How do I purchase tickets?
Fans will be able to purchase tickets on-line during their assigned priority window. The day of your assigned window, you will receive an email with instructions on how to login to you WMU Athletic Ticket Account. Fans will be required to use their email address associated with their ticketing account to purchase tickets online. Fans can also call the ticket office and order tickets over the phone or in person at the Athletic Ticket Office.
*The Bronco ticket Office has relocated from Waldo Stadium to Lawson Ice Arena for the foreseeable future. The Bronco Ticket Office is located at Lawson Ice Arena and is closed on the weekends, except for Bronco Home Hockey games.

What if I qualify for multiple access windows?
You will receive access during the earliest window for which you qualify.
 
Who can I contact if I have questions about BAF Giving Levels?

Are Outdoor Hockey Game tickets included in my season ticket package?
No. The Outdoor Hockey Game is a special, standalone event and is not included in any Western Michigan Athletics season ticket package, including hockey season tickets. All fans wishing to attend must purchase tickets separately.
 
How many tickets can I purchase?
Due to the limited inventory and premium nature of the space, the Stadium Club purchases will be limited to six (6) tickets per account. For all other sections, fans may purchase up to 20 tickets, subject to availability. Fans wishing to purchase groups of more than 20 can contact the WMU Ticket Office directly for more information.
 
WMU Athletics reserves the right to establish or modify ticket purchase limits at any time to provide as many fans as possible with the opportunity to attend.
 
Will I be able to select my seats?
Yes. Fans will be able to select available seats at the time of purchase. Seating availability will vary based on demand and the timing of your access window.
 
Will any stadium suites be available to purchase for this game?
Fans interested in suite opportunities for the WMU Hockey vs. Michigan outdoor game should contact Matt Johnson, Associate AD, BAF Major Gifts, at matthew.3.johnson@wmich.edu.
 
When will ticket prices and the seating map be available?
A seating map can be found below.
 
When will I receive my tickets?
All tickets will be digital. Tickets will be sent on September 1, 2026.
 
What if I need accessible seating?
Accessible seating options will be available. Fans requiring accommodation should contact the WMU Athletics Ticket Office for additional information.
 
How will parking work?
Parking plans are currently being finalized. Information regarding parking locations, permits, shuttle services, and premium parking opportunities will be announced closer to the event.
 
Will there be tailgating and fan activities?
Additional details regarding tailgating, fan experiences, and game-day festivities will be announced as planning progresses.
 
Will tickets be available to the general public?
Any remaining tickets following the completion of the priority access windows may be made available through a public on-sale which is set to begin on July 30, 2026.
 
Can my organization rent the ice at Waldo Stadium?
Yes. The temporary rink will remain in place through February 7, creating opportunities for community programming and ice rentals.
Groups, organizations, youth hockey teams, schools, and individuals interested in ice rental opportunities are encouraged to contact Nick Owens, Director of Athletic Facilities, at nicholas.owens@wmich.edu for additional information.
 
Will there be community events associated with the rink?
Yes. In addition to the Outdoor Hockey Game, Western Michigan Athletics plans to host a variety of community events while the rink is in place, including public skating opportunities for fans, families, and the Kalamazoo community.
Additional information regarding dates, times, ticketing, and pricing for public skating sessions and other special events will be announced at a later date.
 
How will student tickets work?
Western Michigan students will claim tickets through the standard WMU student ticket process.
The student ticket claim window will open on the first day of classes for the Spring 2027 semester. Additional information regarding student ticket availability, claim procedures, and deadlines will be communicated directly to students prior to the start of the semester.
