Western Michigan University Football will open MAC play on Saturday, September 20th as they take on Toledo. Kick-off is slated for 3:30pm.

Gameday Parking Map

Parking is $15 per vehicle to be paid upon entering a lot. PARKING IS NOW CASHLESS entry only 

Student Tailgate Lots have moved to lot 13, with lots 16 & 94 no longer available for parking. Students should enter Lot 13 from the Ring Rd S entrance across from the Rec Center, and NOT from the north entrance/W. Michigan Ave side. The north half of Lot 13 will also be available as a paid tailgate lot for all fans. If Lot 13 is full, students & fans can park at Lawson Arena and take the gameday shuttle.

Please note, Ring Road N. is closed from W. Michigan Ave past Sorensen tennis courts. Vehicles will not be able to access Waldo Stadium or Lot 13 from Ring Road N. To help avoid campus & stadium traffic congestion, it is recommended for vehicles to avoid Ring Rd around campus, as well as Stadium Dr. by Waldo Stadium. Fans coming from the west are encouraged to turn on Howard Ave. (north to park in Miller/Lawson lots – south to access Oakland Dr. lots).

GAME DAY SCHEDULE
11:30am Tailgate Lots Open
All tailgate lots open at 11:30am.  All lots are paid lots, except for the donor lots around Waldo Stadium. Fans parking in those lots must have an official donor parking pass.

12:30 pm Shuttles Begin

free shuttle bus will begin running at 12:30pm. The gameday shuttle bus from Lawson Arena will also include a stop at Lot 23 (Arcadia Flats) to take fans to W. Michigan Ave/Stadium Dr. (Directly across from Waldo Stadium) The shuttle will run after the game as well to return fans back after the game.
 
12:55 pm Bronco Walk
Fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on the football team as they make their way to the stadium during the Bronco Walk. Cheer on the team as they walk from the Student Center to the Bronco Statue outside of Read Fieldhouse.
 
2:00 pm Waldo Stadium Gates Open
All gates to Waldo Stadium open 90 minutes before kickoff. Students and fans should remember to load their digital tickets in their phone's wallet and have their phone charged and ready for ticket scanners upon entry.

Season, group, and single tickets are still available and can be purchased at www.wmubroncos.com/tickets and by calling 1-888-4-WMUTIX.

Chairback Rental

Stadium chairback rentals will be available on a single-game basis, and can be rented at the gate for $10.

Clear Bag Policy

To ensure the safety of everyone in attendance at the games, Western Michigan will continue the security policy at Waldo Stadium of clear bags. Consistent with best practices as recommended by Department of Homeland Security, the size and type of bags allowed for entry will be regulated.

While fans may find it necessary to bring bags into Waldo Stadium the following guidelines apply:

· Bags should be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12" X 6" X 12" in size.

· Clear bags may have a logo on one side so long as said logo does not exceed 4" X 3.4".

· Small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap that do not exceed 4.5" X 6.5" or approximately the size of a hand.

· One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag etc.).

· Exceptions will be made for medical items or a diaper bag (with small child) needed after a proper inspection by security at the gate before entry.

Concessions

Kalamazoo Concessions will once again be the official concessionaire for all home WMU Athletic Events. 

New for Waldo Stadium in 2025:

  • Draft Beer will now be available and located near gate 1
  • Fowl Ball Fryers Food Truck located near gate 1 featuring French Fry Buckets, Chicken Tenders, Cheese Curds,  Soft Drinks, Water & Gatorade!
  • A New Concessions sales location located at the South West corner of the stadium near Schultz's Treat Street Bus!
    • This location will also feature the new gameday dog fan contest winner The Western "Bronco"  hot dog (Jumbo dog Topped with Pulled Pork, BBQ Sauce, Crispy Onion Straw, Bacon Bits)

 

Alcohol Sales

Alcohol will be served at Waldo Stadium. To purchase, patrons must bring a valid government issued ID and receive WMU ID check wristband, which can be found at one of four ID check stations located on both sides of the stadium.

Alcohol sales will end at the start of the fourth quarter. Fans will not be allowed to leave the stadium with alcoholic beverages.

 

Bronco Marching Band Pregame & Halftime Show

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and invited to stay in their seats for halftime as the Bronco Marching will perform on field before the game and during halftime.

Game Day Programs

All game day programs are digital and can be accessed on most smart phones. Fan can access the official game day program via QR Codes posted around the stadium and on the video board or at wmubroncos.com/program

 

United Dairy Industry of Michigan “Mooove of the Game!” Promotion

During every home football game during the 2025 season, four lucky fans will be selected at random to have their seats upgraded and receive a free pint of ice cream courtesy of the United Dairy Industry of Michigan and Schultz Sweets.  Fans are encouraged to arrive early to Waldo Stadium for your chance to be selected.

 

Hungry Howie’s “Broncos Win, Students Win!” Promotion

Whenever the Bronco Football team wins at home, students can head to any Kalamazoo Hungry Howie’s location to claim a free 3-Cheeser Bread with a minimum purchase of $1 by showing their digital student ticket.  Students will have 48 hours from kickoff to claim their 3-Cheeser Bread.
