Gate Rules

  • Gate Information: Waldo Stadium gates open 1.5 hours prior to the scheduled game time.
     
  • Prohibited Items:
    • Bags that do not meet WMU's Clear Bag Policy
    • Aerosol and spray cans
    • Alcoholic beverage
    • Animals (Disability service animals are permitted)
    • Apparel or signage displaying profane or abusive language
    • Bottles (spectators may bring in one bottle of factory unopened water)
    • Containers of any kind (including coolers, thermoses, cups, cans, flasks)
    • Coolers
    • Flags and flagpoles
    • Food of any kind
    • Laser Pointers
    • Noisemakers Including musical instruments and amplified noisemakers (bullhorns, air horns, etc.) Non-amplified noisemakers are permitted (cow bells, thunder sticks, vuvuzela horns, etc.)
    • Projectile toys (including footballs, Frisbees and beach balls)
    • Seat cushions containing any type of metal or those with pockets, zippers, storage slots, seat backs, arm rests, or attachments of any kind
    • Stroller
    • Umbrellas
    • Video cameras, tripods and selfie sticks
    • Weapons (click here for WMU’s weapon policy)

    • Prohibited items must be returned to cars or disposed of before entering the stadium
    • Authorities reserve the right to inspect any item at any time
    • WMU is not responsible for any items left at gate or in stadium
    • Smoking/Tobacco Policy: Western Michigan University is a Tobacco Free campus. The use of tobacco products is no permitted indoors or outdoors on any University property.
