KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan softball team has announced a schedule change for its upcoming series with the Northern Illinois Huskies.
Due to impending storms on Friday afternoon, the Broncos and Huskies will now play a three game series starting on Saturday, April 25. The two programs will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. with the second game at approximately 3 p.m. The third and final game of the series will be held on Sunday, April 26 with first pitch set for noon.
On Saturday WMU will also be honoring its four senior players graduating this spring, outfielder

WMU is coming off a close loss to the Michigan State Spartans on Tuesday evening to round out its non-conference schedule. During the game, the Brown and Gold offense had another big outing, recording 11 hits with a double, a triple, and two home runs. The home runs from senior infielderÂ
Jordan Smith and junior infielderÂ
Analeez Niles in the sixth inning set a new Western Michigan program record at Secchia Stadium. The Broncos now have 44 homers on the season, the most by any Western Michigan softball team.
