KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team heads on the road to take on Ball State on Friday at 1 p.m.
LAST WEEK
The Broncos split matches with Northern Illinois and UIC. WMU dropped a 4-3 home match to the Huskies last Thursday before rebounding on Saturday with a 6-1 win over the Flames. Western Michigan has split matches in the first two weeks of MAC competition, heading into Friday's match with a 2-2 record.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Ball State (8-7, 3-1 MAC) sits in second place in the MAC standings behind unbeaten Buffalo. Last weekend, the Cardinals picked up a pair of 4-3 home wins over UIC and Northern Illinois.
BSU has been tough to beat at home this season, posting a 5-1 record. The lone loss came, 4-3, to Cleveland State.
BOUNCING BACK
After suffering the loss to the Huskies, WMU bounced back for the 6-1 win over the Flames. Western Michigan has picked up five of its 9 wins on the season following a loss.
ON THE HORIZON
Western Michigan begins its second go-round in conference play, hosting Buffalo on Thursday at 1 p.m. and Toledo on Saturday at 1 p.m.
