KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team heads on the road to Butler to take on the Bulldogs on Friday a 3 p.m.

The Broncos head into Friday's match with 4-1 record after their long weekend. WMU started with a double-header on Friday, beating Grand Valley State, 7-0, and Chicago State, 6-1. The team added a 5-2 win over Wayne State on Saturday and the head to Notre Dame on Monday for a double-header with Duquesne and the Fighting Irish. Western Michigan picked up a 5-0 win over the Dukes, but fell later in the evening to UND, 7-0.Â
Butler enters Friday's match still searching for its first win. The Bulldogs recently fell at Louisville on Wednesday, 7-0, and dropped a hard-fought match at home to Eastern Kentucky, 4-3, last Sunday. Butler opened its Spring schedule with a 7-0 loss at Indiana back on Jan. 10.Â
NOT A BAD START
Freshman Chen-Hui "Lucas" Ho went 3-0 in singles matches on Friday and Saturday. Ho wont two matches at No. 2 and one at No. 1 to help the Broncos pick up wins over GVSU, CSU and WSU. For his work, he was named the MAC Singles Player of the Week for the first time in his very young career.Â
ON THE HORIZON
The road trip continues for the Broncos next week, heading to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers on Friday at 11 a.m. and then taking on Omaha, at UW, on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.Â
