KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan softball team welcomes Kent State for a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m., and a single game on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Saturday will be Challenger League/Little League Day with the Broncos signing autographs after the second game. Sunday is Bark at the Park, Bronco fans are encouraged to bring their dogs out to Ebert Field and enjoy the game.
LAST WEEK
The Broncos were on the road at Akron and were swept in a three-game series. The Zips opened with a 12-3 win and then wins of 6-4 and 9-1 during Sunday's doubleheader.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN FLASHES
Kent State opened MAC play losing its first 14 games until it beat Buffalo, 11-4, at home back on April 16. KSU is 2-17 in conference games, with its other win coming against Northern Illinois, 9-3, at home. The Golden Flashes have won their last two games with the win over NIU and a 13-3 road win at Youngstown State this past Tuesday.
Kendal Leitner is the team's top hitter. The redshirt sophomore has a .385 batting average and has 35 hits in 37 games, along with 23 RBIs, four home runs and six doubles. Brynn Libler has played in and started all 44 games and leads the team in runs with 34 and hits with 50. Leitner, Delaney Robeson, Savannah Wing and Katie Joe Moery are all tied for the team lead with four home runs.
Ella Johnson has a team-high 86 innings pitched, with a 4-7 record and a 7.65 ERA. Delaney Nagy has pitched in 80 innings with a 3-11 record and two complete games.
QUICK TURNAROUND
The Broncos have a quick turnaround after Sunday, heading to Northern Illinois on Tuesday for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. WMU has had two mid-week doubleheaders in MAC play and have lost all four games, dropping two at Central Michigan and two at home to Ball State.
BIG WEEKEND
Western Michigan wraps up the 2025 regular season at home against Ohio next Saturday and Sunday. It's Alumnae Weekend and the Broncos will celebrate the 1984 MAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship team. Sunday, WMU will take time to honor its senior class.
