KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team heads on the road this weekend to take on Purdue on Friday at 4 p.m. and then at Illinois State on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
The Broncos (6-3) were off last week and prior to that split a pair of matches at the University of Wisconsin. WMU opened the weekend with a tough 4-3 loss to the Badgers, but rebounded the next day with a 4-1 win over Drake.
SCOUTING THE BOILERMAKERS AND THE REDBIRDS
Purdue is 4-1 on the season with wins over Northern Illinois, Dayton,. Cleveland State and Brown. The lone loss came last week at Cornell, 5-2. Aleksa Krivokapic is the team's No. 1 Singles player, posting a 3-1 record at the top spot. Purdue has not lost a doubles match so far this Spring.
Illinois State is 3-6 so far, with wins over Marquette, Eastern Illinois and Northern Illinois. All three of the wins have come at home. ISU was most recently in action last weekend, losing to IU Indy 5-2 and then suffering losses to New Mexico State (4-3) and Tulsa (5-2) in Tulsa, Okla.

HOME SWEET HOME
Western Michigan plays its first home matches since Jan. 24, next Friday against Butler at 9 a.m. and Purdue Northwest at 6 p.m. The Broncos then welcome Eastern Illinois for a 9:30 a.m. match on Sunday morning, followed by Wayne State at 4:30 p.m.
