LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) named junior pitcher Kailey O'Connor as an NFCA Top Performer of the Week Tuesday afternoon. 

This past week, O'Connor posted a minuscule 0.68 ERA in 10.1 innings pitched with the help of six strikeouts while limiting opposing batters to two walks. O'Connor proved to be a threat offensively as well, and matched a game-high two hits during game two of Saturday's doubleheader against Central Michigan University.

In the Mid-American Conference, among pitchers ranked inside the top 10 in ERA this season, O'Connor ranks third in shutouts (three) and is second in hits allowed this season (79). Over her last four appearances, O'Connor has conceded only one earned run after allowing 3.5 hits per contest. 

With her selection Tuesday, O'Connor became the Brown and Gold's second NFCA Top Performer in program history.
