KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team and head coach Dave Morin have announced the signing of Chen-Hui (Lucas) Ho (Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City, Taiwan) to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
Throughout his junior career, Ho has been consistently ranked as one of the best Taiwanese junior tennis players of his age group. He was ranked No. 4 at the U12 level, No. 3 at the U14 level, No. 2 at U16 and No. 2 at U18. Ho has also achieved a men's national ranking of 24 in 2024.
"We're super excited to have Lucas Ho committing to WMU and joining our program," said Morin. "He has the attributes we look for when recruiting. He's player on the rise and just recently achieving an ITF Junior World Ranking of 185. With recent wins this summer over former Division I No. 1 singles collegiate players, he has shown the ability to play in the upper part of our lineup. We are thrilled that he has chosen to join the Broncos in 2025."
